Workshops
Howl Space workshops engage in community-based learning where we connect with one another through group vocalization, focus listening, and body awareness, with the ultimate goal of art creation through the voice. We offer a wide array of workshops/laboratories with specific focus, such as voice and electronics, master classes for singer/songwriters, vocal improvisation, voice physiology, herbalism for the voice, among other art specific programs. The ultimate goal is the same: to develop a free vocal expression that resonates in alignment with your body and creates an avenue for artistic expression. Beyond the artistic and technical benefits, Howl Space workshops are wonderful for team-building.
We are looking to expand our workshop series—email us today to bring HOWL SPACE to a city near you!

This workshop aims to explore the internal voice and its powerful minimal expression The Hum. We’ll explore the ability of sitting softly: learning how to listen to the inner voice and to be able to tune yourself to soft sounds. This space will focus on breathing techniques, listening exercises, gentle vocal warm-ups, and will conclude with the attempt of performing an iteration of Pauline Oliveros’ Sonic Meditation XVI to be realized on the virtual space in an aim to figure new paths of connecting in the distance.
